Sustainable. Ethical. Slow Fashion
IDENTITY & VALUES
Join us on our ethical journey as we continue to progress and provide full transparency in all that we do. We strive to align every action with our ethical values in order to move towards a sustainable future. We are constantly working with our suppliers and exploring new fabrics, packaging materials, and sustainable practices in order to improve our ethical journey. When we have the opportunity, we will always choose our planet and will continue to update you on our sustainable practices as we move forward.
Sustainability is one of the core elements of our brand. Each piece is produced out of 100% left-over and off-cut materials of leading Yoga brands producing in Sri Lanka for the international export market. This does not only leave us with a high end quality fabric, but also feeds our philosophy to create and ecological footprint that minimizes the negative impact on our precious enviroment.
We are passionately striving to create a Yoga wear line that makes the world a better place. In saying this, we go to great lengths to make sure our entire supply chain, from purchasing the leftover fabrics to the final sewing and retail chain, are as clean and responsible as possible.
This sustainable and ethical approach leads us to a truly conscious consideration of both people and the planet before, during and after production. This starts with purchasing the fabrics from a small local distributor in Sri Lanka. We are producing in a small ethical factory, ensuring great working conditions for the local staff, fighting exploitation and standing for fair trade and a sustainable production.
Mala Yoga wear is only stocked in specific small local businesses to support the local community and to ensure and ethical and sustainable outcome.
Slow Fashion is about creating and consuming fashion consciously and with integrity. By labelling our fashion brand with the slow fashion tag, we try to make an argument that hits the brakes on excessive production, overcomplicated supply chains, and mindless consumption.
In the process of designing, production and retail, we are taking time and showing responsibility to ensure a high quality collection and to give value to each peace. We are constantly aiming for well-made and long-lasting clothing that makes Yogis hearts beat faster.

Recycle and RE-Use FAshion
Mala’s goal is to design classic, versatile styles that last and are adored for seasons to come. Carefully choosing styles and purchasing pieces you love to complement your existing wardrobe, minimises waste in the fashion industry. There’s nothing like something brand new so purchase things you know you’ll love for a long time.
the 30's Test
Everytime you are about to buy a new piece ask yourself: „Am I going to wear this piece at least 30 times?“ If yes, it’s probably worth it the buy. If no, maybe consider leaving it as it might be just hanging in your wardrobe.
